Diamond H, what does Verizon tell you about the dropped calls. I'm in Atlanta, a rough area because of the hills to deploy any wireless, but I have no trouble. I use a PCS-Samsung 8500 w/ Sprint.

I had to replace my wifes StarTac because of dropped calls. They gave her a new one, same model, and it works fine. Maybe you got a dud.

Good luck...hope they resolve it for you.

I was just in LA. Because of the hills, I dropped many calls--driving on Sunset Blvd. My brother's house in Pacific Palisades was a Sprint dead zone. You may want to check if you have the latest firmware; go to the VZ store and have them check; it might help somewhat. Also, it may help if you set the phone to automatic so it will pick up analog. The real solution is to roam with G*. I don't think there will ever be a cell or PCS solution to the hills.
