current max distance from dsl station is about 15000 feet (under three miles) I believe. I am about 13000 from my dsl station and this has no effect on reliability.

There is no DSL in my area now, but the local phone company is working on providing it. I would be 4 to 5 miles from the hub. Do you think my DSL dreams would become nightmares?

Esteban

Do you know if the phone company will serve you past 3 miles out? That used to be the outer limits.Perhaps that's changed.

Here's plenty of info about DSL. Follow the links on the top left of the page for reviews, distance from the central office, etc.
