What's the fair value for Lucent after spinning off Agere? I'm looking for information in trying to figure out the companies/divisions within Lucent and how much they're worth. I know they carry heavy debts so that must got paid first. They're going to pay some debts with Agere IPO that I know.

u r missing a key point. lu owns agere. if agere is worth 10x, it will be a shame for lu to sell it for 6x. it will get 6x in exchange for something worth 10x. it might be pressured to do so by underwriters and creditors. of course some of the 6x can go to reduce debt and interest expense. but lu would be worth more if it sold agere for 10x than for 6x.
