Hi Shaw, I hope u r right... long side is all I know how to play.... One day I will join u & Shack over on the Dark Side LOL (once I'm able to get credit again...) I've printed this post & I have a lot of questions to ask...some very basic... Is it okay to ask here??? On another note... BTW, I was perusing the clowns thread... check out the headlines... Contrarian Indicator? Interesting thoughts Shaw. Perhaps they can restart the manufacturing side somewhat. They'll need to keep the consumer going too or any recovery will stall. Wish markets were open 24/7 Be careful what you wish for! <g>

Hi Shaw, Whenever u have time... What is a ..."supply sider" (isn't that a reference from Ronald Reagan's day's? "was precipitated by the lack of vision in the economy" Isn't that kind of scary? I mean how can you keep count of the cash coming in if u don't know next month (or next quarter) how much u billed/ or will be able to collect/ or what your sales are? BOD?? DCF?? is that acronym? What does it mean? God almighty, I hope u r right... Much better than the view that I have BWTFDIK???? P.s. Should I PM u, or could we discuss it here... I am not familiar with straddles/puts/calls/leaps etc... I think I understand that that there is a time-decay thingy, somewhat dependent on a stocks beta or volatility... not sure of the math though... understand they r leveraged instruments & can be used as either insurance or to enhance one's returns.... I am very interested in learning more... I would like to buy a call one day soon...in my RRSP... Regards, Peter
