They'll be debating McCain-Feingold for the next two weeks. Watch carefully. That and what Greenspan does (at least .75 cut please) will show us a lot about where we are heading. Robert Reich is putting pressure on Greenspan for a big cut. Blaming him for raising too much last spring. Hope the pressure works.

One last political note, Bush announces he's going back on campaign promise to regulate emissions of coal-burning plants. Will allow them to pollute away. If you've ever been in the area of such a plant you know the constant toxic cloud it creates. And it's a global issue as well. Taking care of heavy polluters is an unfortunate priority. But they gave him lots and lots of money, most of his seed money and he owes them big-time. Again, back to McCain-Feingold. This shouldn't be happening. Special interests buy something the public doesn't want at all. Increased air pollution is not worth it. Period.
