Calm down. If Spielberg works closely with Doris Goodwin, there's a chance we'll get a great movie about the real Lincoln, who was in the view of most historians (including Ms. Goodwin): an ambitious and very canny politician, manic-depressive, racist (so was nearly everybody at the time) yet a hater of slavery from his youth, the husband of a mentally unstable wife, a prose poet of the first degree, the author of the Emancipation Proclamation, and a great President who preserved the Union.

Personally, I'd much rather see a movie about the real Lincoln than a hagiography of a plaster saint.
