Sit down before you read this. :-)

As you know, I've been as bearish as anyone on US markets in recent years. Mostly, that's been because of the crazy valuations.

I think there's a bright side to lot of the recent market action and the debacle in the Nasdaq, dot.coms, QQQ etc..

Some, if not a lot of the excesses have already been purged and we still haven't fallen off a cliff yet. I find that somewhat encouraging. Granted, there may still be a lot of excess private credit and valuations are still very high, but at least it's been rather controlled so far.

Maybe we can get out of this bubble with a very big bear market (that is more than well under way) and a typical recession for a few quarters. OK you can stand up again and blast me now! :-)
