if Japan faces deflation the rest of the Asian nations trying to increase the standard of living will find they could be facing erosion in their pricing they can't afford this. China certainly can't she is just entering world trade tied and is tied to the US dollar.

Japan being a large holder of US treasuries etc is looking at our market now as iffy too. we can come back at them with now bail outs but what did we do with LCM something or other.

Lastly OPEC did cut oil and the situation in the mid east is no where close to being resolved.

The risk to me is world deflation. Besides that i feel Public US companies have done about as much cost cutting they can do without chopping more heads off the block.
