Hello Chief, Thanks for being so kind to lay out this OBV material. I'm following along and keeping the two records, but do have a question if I may. A few posts back you said: nope...for example...jnj 3/7 -3476300 3/8 +3948700 3/9 -4145800 DOWN 3/12 -3361300 DOWN 3/13 -4983400 DOWN 3/14 -3472200 DOWN 3/15 +3735900 3/16 -5628800 DOWN.... So, on the one page with volume and net price, I'm keeping a cumulative total. Now on the 14th I've got a total of minus 12,837,700. Then, on the 15th we have positive volume. This is not an up day but what is my cumulative total on the 15th? Is it 9,101,800 (12,837,700 - 3,735,900) or is it unchanged? What is it on the 16th. Thanks and take care, Eric

What is the inherent reason behind the listing order...? Any reason why the stocks cannot be alphabetical? If order is important: What happens when they delist one of the 30 djia stocks for another...? How would one inject a new listing...? BTW, our volumes are very close, maybe off a few hundred hwere and there. Getting closer...! <smile> Setting up the log now and the charting paper. Will eventually try and get this onto excel, for now want need to understand the hand work. Just the way I learned the pitchfork by hand.

cheif... I'm ready to venture into the graphs. This post is linked to your original, when you have a moment please take a look. Got the paper....<smile> first get graph paper...I believe its 8 squares to the inch.... [mine is 8] .......each horizontal square is one day...... I get this direction..., a day contains 8 small squares. Your gonna have to be clearer on the placement of zero. segment them with lines on both sides of zero in the middle the lines 5 squares apart The graph paper has light and bold lines.., the bold lines capture 8 squares, do I: use bold line as "zero" and move out 5 squares...? use the 'middle of this bold lined square/day' and move out 5..? Then move on to the plotting of the ma's. >>make sure the 30 day is plotted at 20 per square the 10 day at 2 per square and the 3 day at 1 per 5 squares
