the fed raised rates prior to the nadaq peak also

<Most were industrial companies....closer to the cyclicals of today. We now have IBM, MSFT, INTC, HWP in the Dow along with a number of financials. Only a few cyclicals remain>

i consider pc and chip makers cyclical.

what bull market? the a/d line was in a down trend since '97...it was shuffiling of companys and their weightings in the indexs that gave the appearance of a bull market.. it took less than 10% of the companys on the nasdaq to drive it to insane highs.
