Zeus, is this a simple question?

i have an ABIT KT7-RAID ATA100 socket-A m/b.
i have a maxtor 40 gig/7200 rpm and considering installing another - to dedicate to video editing.

is there an advantage to enable RAID with these two drives?

TIA

I would appreciate some advice on flatscreens. Since Windows NT does NOT have any power management features, my screen is "ON" all the time i.e., the "green" light is ON as opposed to the idle state "amber" light.

I am wondering if it is better to turn off the monitor every evening or to use a blank screen saver which blanks out the screen but does NOT turn the monitor from active to idle state? Under the blank screen saver mode, the backlight is still visible from around the edges of the black screen.

Guess I'm just wondering which is the lesser of two evils - leaving the screen on all the time and eventually burning out the backlight or turning on and off the monitors all the time and burning out the backlight.

Thanks for any help.
