Semi,
I'm breathing quite freely, thank you -- and will enjoy the arrival of the 1 Ghz mobile Palomino whenever it does appear.

BTW, is a 1 Ghz "mobile" processor really a 1 Ghz mobile processor when it only runs at a maximum of 700 Mhz when it is on mobile power (not plugged into the wall, that is). Hmmm, the mobile Palomino will indeed be able to run at 1 Ghz (if needed by the application) while on mobile power. In effect, Intel really only has a 700 Mhz mobile processor. I'm sure that you would prefer to spin it another way.

Pravin.

I don't have to spin anything. It is a common misconception of the Droid community, that Speedstep chips HAVE to run at slower speeds when unplugged, they do not. The Speedstep can be overridden and run at it's maximum. So to answer your question, yes, a 1GHZ Pentium Speedstep chip running on batteries at 1GHz is a 1GHz chip.

Glad to see your not holding your breath waiting for Palamino..... "Whenever".
