"Interest rates are not the problem in Japan. the problem is the financial institution are INSOLVENT. Remember how we shut down so many in this country a few years ago in an effort to reorganize? Thats what Japan needs to do but for reasons unexplainable to the ROUND EYES, they dont."

I suspect the reason is that the insolvency problem is too big - even for the government.
