New Palms are announced... palm.com ...and surprisingly to me, they not only take SD cards, they also take MMC, in a dual-purpose slot. I dont know if this will help Sandisk sales out because I would expect the cards people would buy would mostly be low end (8 or 16Mb) since even 8Mb would double the Palms memory. Palm are selling 16Mb cards on their site, at $50 plus an (IMHO) outrageous $8 shipping. Palm shipped 2+ million units last Q. If they do, say 50% of this in the two new models that take SD, and each buyer on average buys one card that would be about 1 million cards. Is that a big deal? Tumbleweed
