Holding a modest position of VPI (several other potential targets as well) as a LT position, probably will fall back during the day.

Maybe Bernie has some long positions in CRK & VPI that he needs to unload?

Watch TXCO starting to get into buy range. Very illiquid though. LOILY what a POS!!!!! Can't believe I got suckered into this on at 2 9/16 no less. Every damn day down another 1/8 with never even the slightest measly up tick.

warp,

if a.g. is reading don hays he is only going to go 1/4 pt. tom. hays latest is exceedingly bullish. i am really amazed, but it is very hard to discount the guy.

he loves the 10arms at >1.5 and says we are within 1 month of the bottom. you can get slaughtered if you get in too early, but he really sees some blue skies ahead once we are done with the capitulation now in progress. he warns that tech is not the best place to go, esp. large cap., but does see some strength in chips, smaller co's... cats? likes the nyse in large part.

i have hit stops on some of friday's buys already. we have a habit of selling off in the face of a.g.'s proclamations, so i am satisfied to kinda hang out here and see what develops. hays watch-word is "gradualism". ease in and watch out for deep potholes beneath the captivating oily sheen on the water's surface. i am taking him very seriously here; i didn't on 12/20 and you'all got to eat my pie.

best of luck, don

p.s. is this where someone with a sonorous voice gets to raise his sword, we are waiting to charge into the cannon's mouth, and say 'when this day is done we shall all eat lamb in paradise!'

Re: VPI

I also was uneasy with VPI this morning and flipped the shares acquired through uncovered March puts.

With the Barrons article and positive OPEC news, I had expected a quick gap up and further gains for 2-3 days. Instead it creeped up cautiously on relative low volume. Not a good sign so I sold at 20.20. Now 20.25 bid but I'm happy.
