This is where I think there is a disconnect between younger Republicans and older Republicans. My readings indicate that the younger Republicans are sound conservationists and environmentalists. One only needs to look at contributors to Audubon (Ted Turner) to see that. The older Republicans are usually concerned about the cost to industry of any governmental regulation Fortunately Republicans and Democrats breathe the same air, so improvement will come sooner or later.

I'm looking for a link to a campaign pledge. I don't recall one. I will not take some writer's word for the fact that he did make such a pledge - there is too much disinformation flying around.
