DOW is going nowhere without the RUMX which looks like it wants to close Thursday's gap.

10:45AM DuPont Photomasks warns on Q3 outlook (DPMI) by Mike Maynard
Shares of DuPont Photomasks dropped 16 percent after the supplier to the semiconductor industry warned on financial results for its fiscal 2001 third quarter. The Round Rock, Texas-based company scaled back expectations for its sequential top-line growth to a range of 1 percent to 5 percent, while projecting third-quarter earnings per share will total between 53 and 65 cents, compared to 40 cents earned in the year-ago period. For the full year, DuPont Photomasks now anticipates revenue will grow in the "low-30 percent range" compared to $328.1 million generated in the fiscal year ended June 30, 2000. The company cited a falloff in unit volume it's experienced in its "trailing-edge" segment. To deal with souring industry conditions, DuPont Photomasks is putting into effect a headcount freeze in all departments except research and development. The shares traded at $43.25 in recent action.
