Great post Rande.

One observation I would like to make based on my reading on the net over the weekend. As most of you know Japan has a end of month deadline for their banks to report on how solvent they are. Rumor has been they might sell U.S. Treas bonds and/sercurities to help increase the value of their balance sheets. I am up the belief that jap banks are unloading their american company stock shares over a period of time and such is helping to bring the DOW and the NAZ down further than it might otherwise be.

Another factor the will affect the market over the next several weeks is tax selling by individuals to pay for year 2000 taxes.

My own view is that NAZ will be in range of 1200 to 1400 sometime within the next few weeks to few months. Many tech stocks imo have another 50 percent to go down before the bottom is reached.

I have been 95 percent in cash over the past 2 months and only trading with the trend (down) with buying of puts.

Best regards,

Bob Martin
