Hi, Poet, jambo et al! Some great stuff from you guys ...

...this morning...thank you for posting it here!

"Dealt lemons? Make lemonade." Ha. That's always been one of my 'life slogans" ... tritely simplistic as it is.

I guess I'd say my observation of the psychology on these message boards is that those who seem to put the past behind them and adjust to the realities of present-day markets the fastest -- making changes in their investing, trading philosophies instead of 'hoping for the best' doing nothing ... or nothing different -- seem to be the most capable of truly 'moving forward' in life.

Also, this pervasive need to 'lay the blame' somewhere ... I think that's 'natural,' but totally non-progressive. "It's Alan Greenspan's FAULT!! It's Bill Clinton's FAULT!! It's the HOUSES' FAULTS!! It's the broker's FAULTS!! It's the CEO's FAULTS!!

Kubler-Ross' stages of grief apply so well here, don't they?

I believe one of her major points is that people vary tremendously in 'progress' through each stage.

It's that element that this society dismisses so readily <g> ... no surprise there.

Nobody wants to see or tolerate someone 'miserable' ... loss of family member? Have the ritualistic funeral ceremony and get back to work the next day .. etc.

Changing subject: rally on Fed moves. I think not. You guys?
