"Involved in persecuting Christians in the early centuries" is why they have been persecuted, is it? Tit for tat? LOL.

A little historical item. Just throwing it in to balance your apparent cosmetizing project:

"In 1298 a charge of desecration of the Host was brought against the Jews of Rotingen. A Bavarian noble named Rindfleisch "revealed" that he had been instructed by heaven to avenge this crime. In April of 1298 he and his gang of cutthroats murdered all the Jews of Rotingen. On their way to other Jewish communities they picked up more recruits and in June they massacred hundreds of Jews in rothenburg, Wurzburg, and Nuremberg. In the last-named city a number of Jews locked themselves in a fortress and resisted. Every one of them perished. The number of Jews killed during the Rindfleisch pogroms was almost the same as that in the first crusade... from spring to autumn of 1298... several thousand people."
