I wish they had
mandatory training in risk assessment in high school.

This is a really good idea, but it's likely to overload the workforce with economists rather than techs and engineers;) Oh well, as long as they have learned to think for themselves it should be a good thing.

Many people are poor at evaluating risk but by that are you saying that we should just go along with whatever "the experts" say about the risks? I don't think so, judging by the context provided by your previous posts, but if I didn't have that context it would seem like that was what you are proposing.
