It would take several months of big volume for the shorts to unwind their positions. Today, the bargain hunters showed up to buy some stocks with positive news.

There is nothing better than a bear market rally. It wipes out 2 months of downside pressure in 2 or 3 days. QCOM looks like a trade to $71 on it's current path. The "safe" money will start looking for entry into QCOM in the mid $60's once it's obvious the chart has reversed.
