The CO2 thing was unsettling.

If you're going to promise something like that, without qualifying the promise in any way, then just stick to it. He essentially promised people that clean air and reduced emissions matter, and then said they don't matter. Worse than that, he said they don't matter because the economy is getting bad and energy prices are high.

Well, excuse me, but my lungs don't care whether unemployment is four or five or ten percent. They care about what I breathe. Either the CO2 level matters or it doesn't matter. Maybe the science is in question. But the science is not dependent on whether oil is 20 or 50 dollars a barrel. That is just a crock of sh*t, and he should be ashamed of himself for falling prey to that sort of spin from his advisors.

If he wants people to start viewing him as the President and not just some kid who is running his Dad's company but never in the office, he had better start thinking long and hard about what it means to have credibility.
