OT>San Diego has the distinction of having the mildest weather in the U.S. You don't even need A/C. But talk about power outages to those just up the road from you. . . and you will sense the panic. Most of Orange County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Los Angeles County, Ventura County, etc., etc., etc. get plenty hot. And speaking of one bedroom apartments, I used to see plenty of them with 5 or 10 occupants.

When I packed up a 20 tons of gear and moved out of California, I learned that the truck companies have difficulty getting trucks and trailers back into California each summer, due to the high number of one-way rentals each summer. But it isn't often felt, due to the displacement by the steady flow of immigrants into CA.

I remember going to make deposits at my bank one-mile from my office. It was a 30 minute drive! And a typical line would see bank customers out the door about 40 or more deep. Every year it got worse. So I doubt any sort of Exodus would be noticed in California. However, in the states receiving those leaving, such as Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, Tennessee, etc. there is no question about what is happening. . .as cities bust their seems to accommodate ex-Californians. The influx has been constant each summer. But I am talking those permanently leaving. Not vacationing for the summer.
