Dear John: While I agree 1/2 point is the more likely there is a possability of 3/4 or even more I think. The reason is the NEXT fed meeting is a couple months away as I recall. They are either going to have to hit it big right now or have an INTERIM additional rate cut in my judgement. It boils down IMHO to what AG wants to do. Once or twice in the cut. There is no question in my mind that one way or another rates are going down WAY MORE than 1/2 point over the balance of this year. JDN

Hey, this is macroeconomics, confidence is all relative.

Seriously, if we only see 50 bp, the CPI number tomorrow probably won't be delivering the same news as last week's PPI.
