I wonder if you have also taken stock of the fact that there are many who believe GATA to be a bunch of crazies who are acting for South African interests? Even Doug Casey (International Speculator) opined at the Vancouver Mining Conference that the claims of GATA to be kinda' stupid. But it is interesting to note that Bob Bishop (Gold Report) believes the claims of GATA to be valid (see Taylor's article at www.gold-eagle.com)

Your "How many... familiar with GATA" 2Much2Little2Late. Peter, This thread commissioned a Black & Blue Panel to investigate what really was the agenda for this cauterise type happening, and it was found not to exist for the curative purpose stated, that to cure and heal a manipulated gold market. If one did do as you suggested, read the past one year opinions put out by those who run and support this GATA, then you would arrive at an conclusion that you just got a year's worth of input from those folks who stand upon a busy New York City streetcorner holding signs and loud voice shouting "The End, either Here or Near." Really, how many times can "Wolf + Sky Falling" be heard, before those listeners put their ears on Ignore mode. Anyway, even if true this stuff spoken by GATA, history tells us that the only way those Powers that Be, who GATA identifies as the ones in charge, can be taken down is only when they lose complete and total control through a complete and total collapse of the structure of a nation which gives them their Powers that Be, that unless this happens there can be any degree of collapse short of total that will not knock them off their Seats of Power or Influence.
