Haim: I've been told that the fed fund futures are a more precise indicator of rate changes than the IRX.

Since yesterday's ff futures close predicted a rate 2/3 of the way between a 50 and 75 basis point cut for the rest fo the month, I figured they were saying the odds were 2:1 for the higher cut.

I should have mentioned that this surprised me, I was in no way echoing anything heard on CNBC which I *never* watch. I don't even know who half these people are on there that everyone pokes fun at.
