rr- don't anybody do what I do. au contrare mr. rr- last night i was walking into furr's cafeteria and a homeless man (richard martinez) asked if i might bring some leftover food out to him when i came out. i said, "no! you come in with me." he said he didn't feel right about it, and i told him that was his problem but he was coming in to eat with me and my family anyway. he was reluctant and shy about letting me buy his dinner but halfway through the line his face brightened up. he said, "i've put in an order for you" and his reluctance and guilt dropped away. when we sat down at the table, nine furrs employees came to my table with a chocolate cake (candles burning) and they sang HAPPY BIRFDAY courtesy of "richard martinez- homeless dude". i smiled at richard, gave him the "thumbs up" and he beamed back - "happy birfday dusty." i thought about you and did exactly what you would have done. it doesn't get any better than that. i love you rick, what a special birthday i had this year. -dusty
