chic, I think you may be right on. I picked up a few yesterday based on the technicals. Not much but just enough to keep me from getting ancious.

No bottom yet or at least we trade in a narrow range for a while which would make selling cc's on longs profitable.

The magazines are usually a pretty good indicator. Plus have you noticed how all the love in threads on SI have virtually died from lack of posts?

As Ron Insana mentioned yesterday before the final blow of the bull run, a bull appeared on the covers frequently over several weeks. I don't think this bear is ready to hibernate just yet. Perhaps some individual issues are close to bottoming. But it ain't over by a long shot.

But just to play it safe, I've closed out my shorts in the NAZ. Currently short IBM and 3M. I'm short on both from $115 and going to try to ride out any run. I'm also wondering if any rally won't be exclusive to the COMP.
