O/T - Arakis/Talisman

LOL! Yep, those were the days. The short's name was Pluvia (as in rain).

FWIW, I held my shares through the Talisman merger, the U.S. bombing of the Sudanese pharmaceutical factory (the absolute bottom, if I remember correctly), and the laying of the pipeline from the Heglig field to Port Sudan. I finally sold just north of US$30 when the first tanker full of oil from Sudan sailed.

PS - O/O/T - I taught my 8-yr-old son to tie a tie tonight. He has a presentation at school tomorrow dressed as Ben Franklin. After about 30 minutes of detailed instruction full of confused quizzical looks, he finally started to get the hang of it. After he tied it three times in a row without my help, he jumped up and down with joy and then ran upstairs to show his mom. Ah, the joys of parenthood. <gg>
