Glenn, I'm thinking Bezos could sell a big chunk of his stock...get the board to convert his position with preferred shares (which Amzn has never issued).
The sale of his common stock pays off the debt, then Amzn no longer has any debt.

I am not following. You believe Bezos will donate his stock to be sold to pay off Amazon debt? Then Bezos receives preferred chares?

If Amzn had no debt, then wouldn't the business model survival just be based on cash flow?

Yes and no. Not cash flow only but profits. Amazon is a long way from having profits based on their current marketing strategy. They have too much overhead and not enough gross margin. I assume they need the overhead so they need to increase gross margin. That would be some raise in their pricing which I do believe could be done.
