JJ: Why not? The only alternative is SpeedStep. Ok, let me clarify: I wouldn't buy a notebook with PowerNow! or SpeedStep, without trying it out first. I did say (in some of my previous comments) that my worries about "jerkyness" concerned both companies' technologies. Further clarification: I realize that both SpeedStep and PowerNow! can be turned off, so it's not as if I would mind having it in a notebook. I just wouldn't give it much weight in a comparison w.o. checking it out first. -fyo
