RE:"This is not a Clinton...he does not want to do what's best for the country"

It's the people that won't do what's best for the country. Cut consumption. Kind of ironic.

Ted Re..<<<<<....he's holding the threat of power shortages throughout the country and the potential loss of jobs over everyone's head. Like I said before, CA's ineptness plays right into his hand.<<<<<<<<<<

Or you could say it will force Gw hand. Do you know of any other way? We need to find more oil and natural gas. There appears to be a considerable amount in ANWR. Many of the same arguments were tried at Prudoe and most were unfounded. The same is likely to be true here.

<<<This is not a Clinton..<<<<<<

We can only hope that he never becomes a Clinton. Either one of them. I see Hillary was in the news yesterday and today.

...he does not want to do what's best for the country but what's best for him and his party's supporters. Naturally, people will fight it but a worsening economic slowdown will make it very difficult.<<<<<<<<<

Fight for what? The enviroment or SUV's Given a choice, the SUV's are likely to win. Besides, I happen to feel solving our energy problems will be good for both CA, and the country.

The worst part about this is that he's not even clever...and he knows it. He's created just enough uncertainty and chaos in the 3 mos he has been in office to pull this one off. <<<<<<<<

Not clever?????? Sounds pretty clever to me.
