carl:
Any guesses as to when there will be twice as many DDR SKUs as i820 + i850 motherboards?

Pretty soon. 820 chipset solutions in your index are not currently sold. So this index you are always quoting is a good indication of where "junk" mobos are being liquidated. This is not indicative of a actual trends in the computer industry that sells more than 10 M system a month more and more of them sold vendor direct.
Sorta like your SDRAM/RDRAM price comparison tables. Information but no real meaning
The 820 motherboards were really junk I am sure you can agree.

Hi all; DDR rollout continues, with 179 SKUs on Price watch now:

pricewatch.com

By comparison, there are 50 i850 SKUs, and 39 i820 SKUs, totalling 89. That means there are now twice as many DDR SKUs as i850 + i820 SKUs.

P.S. On March 20, I wrote: "Any guesses as to when there will be twice as many DDR SKUs as i820 + i850 motherboards?" #reply-15533504 At that time there were only 145 SKUs for DDR. Quite a roll out.
