Aware, Inc. Introduces the Veritas 992B DSL Test and Development System for ADSL Over ISDN --Annex B--

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 11, 2001--DSLcon Spring 2001--Aware, Inc. (NASDAQ:AWRE), a worldwide DSL technology leader and innovator, today announced the latest addition to its Veritas product line, the Veritas 992B. The Veritas 992B facilitates the evaluation and development of standards-compliant ITU-T G.992.1 Annex B ADSL over ISDN customer premises (ATU-R) and central office (ATU-C) equipment. The Veritas 992B is shipped with Aware's DSL Manager, the Veritas 992B management software suite, enabling a broad range of configuration and testing options.

"With over 10 million ISDN lines installed in France and Germany alone, the need to effectively test and develop standards-based Annex B ADSL over ISDN equipment is critical to the success of leveraging ADSL technology over existing ISDN infrastructure in Europe," said Jeff Wallace, Director of Test Equipment Sales and Marketing for Aware. "The Veritas 992B, Aware's newest product in a comprehensive line of ADSL testing and design solutions, addresses the need for a truly interoperable, standards-based ADSL over ISDN test and development platform."

Each test and development system in the Veritas product line is designed to assist systems developers to evaluate and build standards-compliant DSL products, as well as to implement quality control measures in the manufacturing process. The Veritas 2000 and Veritas 4000 are test systems that provide two and four standards-compliant CO ports, respectively, to test and analyze ADSL CPE. The Veritas 2000 can be modified to support ADSL over ISDN (Annex B).

For a demonstration of the Veritas line of products, visit Aware at the DSLcon Spring 2001 exhibition in Booth #905 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado from April 10-12.
