Dabum,

You've done well, indeed. It takes a lot to short correctly. I missed shorting COST by 1/8 today by taking my eye off the ball.

We're now in Naz 1857, the Dred Scott era and it looks like we ready to do a slow ratchet back in time to the time of the Conquistadores. I don't think the 50 BP vs 75 BP argument/drama made a spot of difference to anyone except those in charge of monitoring CNBC's ratings. If we had gotten a 75 BP drop we might have had a nice rally for a few hours and then this sinking. With 50 BP we just got the sinking without the rally.

How do we get to 1750 and then to the 1500s? A lot of towel throwing in and not much buying. It will grind exceeding slow, as they say. I still remember April 2000 when the talking numbheads on CNBC declared the Naz "correction" to be over when the thing jumped from about 4300 to 4450. "These things just happen much quicker in the New Economy," one of the airheads said.

Nice little pop in OSX today, an island of stability so far.

Wasn't it Shaft who said, "Y'all be cool." Luck to all,

Kb
