Just like clockwork...

futures getting bid up again after the close...

The Houses are manipulating things...

Former Fed Governor Lyle Bramley (sp) feels it would have been totally PRUDENT for the FED to cut rates .75 basis points. He says we will see more cuts and possibly another inter-meeting move.

Patience is difficult in this environment. The market will come back. Buy while there's Blood in the Streets...=)

Best Regards,

Scott

I've been thinking the same thing. I sold out 40% at 3100 and put some in White Oak at 1950. Figure in two plus years I'll be happy. Looking at some value funds also.

Perhaps half and half. 1/2 in cash, 1/2 in stocks.

Oh boy have I had it with this market.
And the problem is the longer it takes doing this (I think) the longer will it take to recover. A nice fast down might have meant a nice fast up.
I sold all techs except a smattering. I don't know what will be the next leaders.
Intc??? What was Kumar's target? I'm almost afraid to ask...teens?
But we could have made some money buying Dell in the teens!
I have some of the Oak funds and Janus...they are doing HORRIBLY!!!!!
Keep your cash...forget the balanced fund...look for stocks with real earnings and good growth and low pe...they have to come back sometime.
I also turned a 7 figure portfolio into as yours...put half my cash into a bond fund and am I ever sorry: it is going down and cash would not have.
We all have to keep supporting each other: the market will come back, we will make money again and having been through this we will NEVER forget to sell before we have big losses.
Freeus
Maybe we can get another bubble going with the new investors that haven't been through this....let's go recuit!!!

Hello INTCfan,

I "had" it with this market about four months ago. I sold out and have been on the sidelines till just recently. SLOWLY I am starting to re-enter. I have put some into bonds and nice dividend stocks but also the Oak associates funds and a few of the quality stocks that edamo has been harping on the past few months. I am also looking at ATML, XLNX, INTC(believe it or not) and possibly AMAT. Companies that are basing, have actual earnings and a low PE and good management. You could dollar average into whatever vehicle(s) you wish and can do it as slow as you want. Or you can try to trade the pops up and try to get out before another leg down. I would elect the former and quit watching the market and driving yourself crazy.

BWTHDIK,
Joel

Kumar said 1800 and then promptly downgraded INTC the next day.

The scam marches on.
