I was going to buy CIEN if the Fed cut 75 basis points-
*********************
So the decision to cut 50 effected my buying intentions. This will be chronicled as a classic Fed blunder and the almost inevitable recession will now appropriately be called "The Greenspan Recession". The Fed declared war on the markets, denied that they were doing this, and then threw "crumbs" to the surviving rubble while at the same time noting that consumer confidence is on the ropes. The Fed looks like just a bunch of bond traders that could care less about the equity markets. I have been in cash for a long time and will continue in this position until the environment significantly changes.
