Sudan not using oil revenues to fuel civil war
Text of report in English by Sudanese TV on 20 March

Presidential adviser for peace affairs Makki Ali Balayil has refuted allegations circulated by some Western organizations that Sudan government uses oil revenues to encounter the rebel movement.

Interviewed by Sudan TV, Mr Balayil said the arguments presented by the said organizations are baseless. He also added that the crush programme implemented in the south or the southern states is a crucial evidence for using the oil revenues in development.
