The Palm VII can be always "on" if you leave the antenna up all the time :) (Isin't the VIIx just the VII with 8megs memory)?. The battery life would be < 5-8 hrs. So in other words NOT! I think that PALM really needs to get to the always on feature in a color PALM the size of the Palm V NOW! (to stem the iPAQ/RIMM encroachment). They have indicated that they intend to get to this in the second half of 2001 (read Dec 31st 2001 ;) with an upgraded VIIx type device. TG
