It would be great if you put few cases in your program so that one doesn't have to run your program every paragraph. For example, you can tell the program to leave the line feed (or return character) alone if the line feed preceded by another line feed, a period or a question mark, chances are the writer means to put it there.

The program does leave the CR+LF alone if another CR+LF follows. So, in other words, if there are 2 presses of the enter key, it leaves them alone. So you don't have to format each paragraph separately (unless there is only a single CR+LF between them). I'll take a look at the "preceded by a period or question mark" case, but this is a tough one since there is no way to tell between intentional and accidental occurrences of a CR+LF in this situation. Thanks for the note!

PS. I also started with DOS basic, interpreted Basic waaaaaaay back in '85 on my Columbia 8088 with 2 5¼ inch floppy drives. Was in heaven when I got my first 20 meg hard drive, though it cost me $750 and died after 18 months.
