I saw John Chambers in a TV documentary during the heydays at Cisco recall his father being laid off and lamenting the personal grief his family went through. He stated that only as a last case resort would he lay off at Cisco.....so I do not think he is simply jawboning for a more aggressive rate cut. Things ARE bad out there.
