You state on the one hand that the Japanese market is selling at only one-half the book value here, and yet it has been in the grip of the bear for 11 years.

Please tell me exactly how this qualifies as having "lack of eighth-grade command"? I forgot the word market after the word Bear but I certainly hope you could understand it in its context.

incomprehensible logic

And what incomprehensible logic? Much of the Japanese market has been trading at a disount to ours for awhile now, yet it has not gone anywhere. Value does not necessariy mean depressed prices. Additionally,. there is much on Japanese books yet to be written down; when this occurs, you will see BV as a moving target. If there is a bad economic structure, isolationist policies, and an inflated book value, book value is meaningless. How much more clear can I get?

Believe what you want, but at least make an attempt to understand my argument without namecalling or insults. I am sure you are at least capable of this.

FWIW, I have been posting on this thread since about post 3000, and you are the first to make these claims. Perhaps the fault does not lie in my writing after all.
