Wonder what he'd say now, with bio-engineering,and computer
algorithms which simulate life and growth without control...

It is inevitable that there will come a point in time where science will demonstrate beyond a shadow of a doubt that the myth thing is profoundly primitive. (Unless, of course, we blow ourselves up first.) I wish I could be around long enough to see it.

There endeth the lesson...

Every end is a beginning... ;)

I'm glad you enjoyed the article, Thames-sider. Most people lie their whole lives. It is nice to know that we do not need to, and that we can associate with people that don't. There are still mysteries to explore; But I would rather have them remain to be uncovered--than to answer them with self-deception...

How is the blasted fog over there?!

He would probably point out that computers and the various programs that run on them are themselves, designed. Design in, equals design out. Are we shocked? Hello?

The argument that God must have had a designer only begins to work after you have conceded the initial premiss that the universe demonstrates purpose and design. Are you saying that you agree with that premiss? If so how do you explain this design without appealing to a designer?
