Hey, Clappy bro...this must be an early April Fools' joke, 'cuz the BushCheneys keep telling us that ocean drilling is clean and safe, so this couldn't have happened. Shit. They be pushing nukes again, too, and tree planting to reduce the CO2, instead of conservation. It's not that I don't believe in trees, 'cuz I sure have planted enuf, but... I'm being serious when I say that the one thing that could unite Mendocino County and make us take up arms is drilling off the Northern California Coast. Loggers, fisherdudes, big agriculture, ecofreaks,dope growers, everybody...the onliest thing we all agree on is no drilling off our coast, and; I believe we passed an ordinance banning on-shore support facilities, too. I know that there has been talk about wave power. Back in the first "oil crisis", I read something about using the tides in the Bay of Fundy. I think I may have read about the Dutch doing something along these lines, too, which would be a real Dutch treat. Oh, can I say that, or is it too politically incorrect?
