japan has been a big seller of u.s. equities..all in an effort to paint their tape for their fiscal year end march 31.
the media harping on their rally due to cutting rates to zero is just more bull.
the ONLY reason they rallied was due to the proceeds from u.s. equity sales and pumping it in their own markets.

i'm not convinced japan banks can "book" enough profits to prevent sh*t from hitting the fan next month...but we shall see in a couple of weeks.

I heard the words come out of McNealy's mouth @ about 4:40 something PST this morning.The one thing the most important
thing that can help us and more importantly So. Cal.get out
of this energy crunch.
And Japan having more than just about anybody on the
planet(not true)But they do have more N.Power than Brains, would be to sell us the power.And they're right across the lake.
Japan's Reactors
As of December 1999, there are 51 commercial reactors in operation in Japan. The Japanese reactor fleet generated around 45,000 megawatts in 1999. Nuclear power now accounts for about 35% of Japan's total electricity generation. As of December 1999, there also were 4 commercial reactors under construction in Japan. When in operation, these four reactors will generate an additional 4,663 megawatts. There are also 2 nuclear reactors in project in Japan. When in operation, these two reactors will generate an additional 2,208 megawatts.
