Yup, I can't believe the Democrats are keeping the economy down by not enthusiastically supporting a tax cut.

Reminds me of 1980. Our military in desperate need of upgrading. Taxes sky high, and a recession on the horizon.

Looks like about every 20 years America needs a new wake-up call and return to market driven conservative solutions. Kennedy did it in the early 60's, Reagan in the early 80's, and now Bush must do the same thing in 2000.

Not to mention the drag of the hidden taxes imposed by regulators running wild during the last eight years.

Only once, in 1944, has Washington taken a higher proportion of national income—and only twice (the other year was 1945) has it taken more than 20 percent.
