They demonstrated a working model at the PMA last month and set the price --$695 if I recall. So, with a camera from the big two and a $695 CMOS EFS back, a photog is in business. Nikon and Canon's digi SLRs are in the $8K plus range. It looks like a category killer for a while at least if the can actually manufacture the EFS and get it to market.

When is Silicon Film going to achieve "market release" status?

After competeitors and the "state of the art" have moved to the next level. Thus far, thses guys have been all hat and no cowboy.
