Dave, I think I am the conservative in this discussion. I would keep power systems the way they have been for the past 70 years, not the liberal crap they tried in California. Here in "still regulated" Georgia we pay 7 cents for our electricity and Georgia Power Company makes a nice profit doing it and has been providing us with reliable power for 70 years. The conservative position is "why mess with something that ain't broke?"

With Ga Power perfectly willing to build plants as necessary and sell the power for 7 cents, why should we pay more? I guess you liberal folks would want us to force Ga Power to sell off its plants and the buy the power back at "market price" and suffer some outages to send the proper price signal.

Deregulation is in the same category as selling pardons.
