Yeah Don, I took the top of the diamond, 1/9/00 @11750 and the low apex,2/27/00 @9731 = 2020 and subtracted from the value where we broke the diamond trend line which I said was roughly 10500. This puts the target value at 8481. The author said that the average time to reach the target value of the broken pattern is seven weeks.

My suspicion is that we may reach it a little faster. gg

Bear in mind (pun intended) that my trend lines can be drawn at slightly different values, and therefore the 8500 number is approximate.

One thing I can't get a handle on is if this occurrs what is a rough guess of its impact on the rest of the market. I just can't get any kind of a correlation of where other indexes will be if the DJIA does drop to 8500. I can get a rough handle on time but not the impact on values.

CU and good luck, time for some dumplings. gg
